Accident

What are the next steps?

1. How am I insured against accidents?

  • If you are employed, your employer has an insurance coverage for occupational accidents. For non-occupational accidents, you must be employed for more than 8 hours per week for your employer’s insurance to cover the cost.
  • If you are a student, pensioneer, or unemployed or work less than 8 hours per week, you most likely have the accident insurance included in your normal health insurance.

2. Report the accident to your employer

  • Inform your employer that you have had an accident. The employer will send you an accident report, which you must fill out, and this will be forwarded to the insurance company.
  • You will then receive the accident insurance information and a claim number.

3. Information to the doctor’s office

  • Inform the practice where you were treated about through which accident insurance you are insured, the date of the accident and the claim number (you can find all contact information here). Ideal is if you send us a copy of the claim notification that you received back from the accident insurance company. If you are employed, the medical invoice will then be sent directly to the insurance company, so this information must be forwarded to us.
  • If you have the accident insurance included in your normal ealth insurance, please let us know. In this case, the invoice will be sent to your normal health insurance or directly to you (depending on the insurance)

Without your information we will have to send you the invoices directly to you.
